[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] KB Financial Group released a "Together We Sing, Korea Lived" challenge video featuring 1,025 members of the public to mark the 81st anniversary of liberation.

KB Financial said it released on Aug. 14 the "Together We Sing, Korea Lived" challenge video, in which the public sings a song completed through an open call.

The challenge ran from March 18 to May 31, with a total of 1,025 participants. Participation came in various forms, including family entries and videos using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

It gave tablet PCs, a Bluetooth speaker and wireless headphones to three top participants. It also provided 10 participants with a one-year music streaming pass.

The campaign was planned as an extension of KB Kookmin Bank's "Korea Lived" project carried out in 2019 to mark the 100th anniversary of the March 1 Independence Movement. A "Korea Lived Rewritten" video released in February has logged 10.22 million views so far.

KB Financial is also running a campaign that links the spread of the video to donations. It plans to set aside 2,026 won for each like and share of the video and use all funds raised through year-end for the "Myungpum Store Project" supporting small business owners who are descendants of independence activists.

A KB Financial official said, "We hope this song will be an opportunity to remember history for a long time and carry its meaning on to the next generation 100 years from now."
