Justem said on Tuesday it recorded second-quarter revenue of 28.7 billion won, an operating profit of 9.3 billion won and net profit of 6.8 billion won. That was up 157 percent, 323 percent and 284 percent, respectively, from a year earlier.

The company said its semiconductor humidity-control solutions delivered results as they began to be supplied in earnest in the global market. It said growth was driven in particular by expanded supply of its second-generation solution, JFS (Jet Flow Straightener), in its semiconductor division. Supply of JFS to Micron, one of the top three IDM companies, is accelerating, and the size of supply to Micron in the first half reached 23.6 billion won. Semiconductor revenue was 45.0 billion won, accounting for more than 90 percent of total revenue.

Its cost-of-sales ratio fell by up to 6 percentage points from a year earlier, improving profitability. Gross margin in the second quarter rose to 52 percent. Justem increased inventories 3.5-fold to 12.6 billion won from 3.6 billion won to prepare for production and supply in the second half.

Total assets stood at 115.6 billion won at the end of the first half, up 33.9 percent from the end of last year. Trade receivables also rose to 20.2 billion won at the end of the first half from 10.5 billion won at the end of last year, supporting expansion in operations, the company said.

Justem President Yongjin Kim (김용진) said, "With adoption and expanded supply of 'JFS' in the global market, and other semiconductor solutions receiving a strong response, we have already caught two rabbits in the first half: higher sales and improved profitability." He said, "As this trend is expected to be applied more broadly to global IDM companies in the second half and performance in the display segment is also gradually anticipated, we are confident of record growth this year, catching three or more rabbits."
