KT Millie’s Library said on Tuesday it posted second-quarter revenue of 23.8 billion won and operating profit of 3.4 billion won.
Second-quarter revenue rose 15.2 percent from a year earlier, while operating profit fell 28.4 percent. First-half revenue totalled 47.8 billion won, up 17.4 percent, and first-half operating profit was tallied at 7.3 billion won.
Millie’s Library is expanding its intellectual property (IP) business and is distributing overseas publication rights. It signed a Turkish rights deal for its original IP, "Gwi Hwaseo, Protecting the Last Flower." It also exported rights for "I Almost Ended Up Living Diligently" to Thailand and Kazakhstan, "Not Dead, Just Paused" to Russia, and "Lost Items Have Returned" to Vietnam.
It also launched the original webtoon "Gungno" on the Japanese webcomic platform "Mecha Comic" in June. Millie’s Library adapted "Gungno," which it released last year as an original web novel, into a webtoon and expanded distribution to an overseas platform.
Meanwhile, Millie’s Library CEO Jeong Jae-wook (정재욱) bought 10,000 shares in the company in May and bought an additional 5,000 shares three months later.
