LG Uplus said on Jan. 12 it is strengthening benefits for its Upl To Pple membership programme to mark the New Year.

It will give out a two-month free pass for Baemin Club, a subscription service from Baedal Minjok, for the first time among telecom carriers. Members with VIP status or higher can receive it on a first-come, first-served basis at 11 a.m. on Jan. 15.

LG Uplus will also continue offering Baedal Minjok discount coupons, a popular existing benefit. On Jan. 13, customers can receive a 9,000 won discount coupon for Baedal Minjok X Mexicana Chicken. It will also offer food and beverage benefits including 25 percent off Downtowner, 30 percent off Ottogi Mall, a free CGV Upl To Pple set, 8 Starbucks star rewards, 30 percent off Gong Cha and 30 percent off Sajo Mall.

It also added winter vacation-tailored benefits. Details include 50 percent off Vivaldi Park lift tickets, 30 percent off the Fanta and Gino Dinosaur Exploration exhibition, 40 percent off Aquafield and 35 percent off Joorung Joorung admission tickets.

It also prepared benefits for long-term customers who have used LG Uplus for more than two years. Long-term customers can receive various experience-focused benefits including 40 percent off the musical Beetlejuice, 30 percent off the exhibition Hailey Tiffman, Drawing Everyday Life, and a 1+1 offer for a Legoland Park one-day pass.

The monthly Upl To Pple PLAY promotion will run an event for the New Year that lets customers choose their own Upl To Pple benefits playlist. Customers can take part through the event menu after accessing the LG Uplus integrated app U+one. Any LG Uplus customer can participate until Jan. 29.

LG Uplus also provided an average of 51 partner benefits per month last year. Customers used an average of 4.5 benefits per person per month. Coffee-related benefits such as Starbucks and Compose Coffee were popular among customers in their teens and 20s. For those aged 30 and older, dining and food benefits such as Paris Baguette and Outback were popular.

Jang Jun-young, head of LG Uplus' marketing group, said the company prepared popular brands across areas including food and beverages and cultural activities for the New Year. He said it will do its best to provide differentiated benefits for LG Uplus customers in 2026.
