Coinone said on Sunday it has hired Kim Cheon-seok, formerly a vice president at Euisikju Company, as its new COO.
Kim graduated from Seoul National University's economics department and has worked at SK Telecom, SK Planet, Google and Criteo.
Since 2021, he has served as COO and CBO, a vice president role, at Euisikju Company, the operator of the non-face-to-face mobile laundry service Lundrigo.
Coinone said it selected Kim as the right person to lead internal and external growth as it expects major institutional changes in the industry this year. Kim will oversee companywide operations, including service operations, marketing strategy and organisational culture.
Kim said he would help position Coinone as one of the choices for virtual asset investors, drawing on systematic systems at global companies and experience of dynamic growth at startups.
