Blomics said on Monday it has officially launched its new web-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'EOS Red Reverse', developed based on BluePotion Games' intellectual property (IP) 'EOS Red', in Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.

'EOS Red Reverse' is an HTML5-based instant-play game that can be launched immediately in a PC web browser without separate downloads or installation.

The game inherits the world of the mobile MMORPG 'EOS Red'. Set 50 years after the original, it includes stories across five continents and 45 regions. It supports player killing (PK) in most fields and includes an economic system that allows user-to-user trading. It also offers combat content such as boss dungeons with up to 70 participants, territory wars and siege battles.

The game applies an in-house artificial intelligence (AI)-based web conversion technology developed by Blomics' parent company, BPMG. The company also said it reduced server build and operating costs needed for game services by building an open-source-based server environment.

Lee Soo-ho (이수호), head of Blomics' game business division, said, "EOS Red Reverse is the first game to apply our in-house AI-based web conversion technology," adding, "Starting with this launch, we plan to continue expanding our global web game business by introducing various games in a web-based format."
