NC’s IT services unit NC IDS has changed its name to NC AX and will step up its artificial intelligence transition (AX) business, it said on Sunday.
The company has set applying and commercialising AI technology in industrial settings as a key goal since its launch in October 2024. The name change reflects its intent to clarify its identity as an AX specialist and secure AI-centred business competitiveness early.
NC AX plans to set up a cooperation framework with NC AI, which has core AI technologies, to lead AX transitions at NC and other major affiliates.
It aims to generate business synergy by combining its existing infrastructure development know-how in enterprise resource planning (ERP), business system development, platforms and applications with NC AI’s technology capabilities.
Lee Jae-jin (이재진), CEO of NC AX, said the company will continue to expand its AX business areas and strengthen related services by working with NC AI based on its process improvement and application development know-how.
