KT is launching an internet discount programme for foreign customers.
The programme, which runs until Jan. 31, 2027, offers discounted monthly fees to foreign customers staying for about a year or less if they sign up for an internet plan.
Eligible products include six types: Internet Slim (up to 100 Mbps), Internet Basic (up to 500 Mbps), Internet Essence (up to 1 Gbps), Internet Slim WiFi (up to 100 Mbps), Internet Basic WiFi (up to 500 Mbps) and Internet Essence WiFi (up to 1 Gbps).
With the discount applied, the monthly fees are 23,100 won for Internet Slim, 30,800 won for Internet Basic and 37,400 won for Internet Essence. Plans that include WiFi as standard cost 25,300 won for Internet Slim WiFi, 33,000 won for Internet Basic WiFi and 39,600 won for Internet Essence WiFi per month.
Customers can sign up through all channels, including customer centres and KT agencies nationwide. KT plans to continue expanding convenience by reflecting foreign customers' usage characteristics and demand.
Kim Young-geol (김영걸), executive managing director and head of KT's Customer Business Division, said, "This discount programme is a benefit designed to help foreign customers choose and use KT internet services more conveniently." He said, "We will continue expanding products and benefits that reflect customer demand."
