LG Uplus is holding a participatory event to turn customer stories into AI fairy tales.
LG Uplus said on Thursday it will run the “My Child Is the Fairy Tale’s Main Character” event on its kids platform, U+tv Kids Nation, producing AI fairy-tale content based on customer stories.
U+tv Kids Nation is an IPTV-based kids service offering video, books, play and learning content. LG Uplus plans to use the event to give customers the experience of taking part directly in the content production process.
The event runs from Aug. 4 to Aug. 17. Customers who want to participate can access a Naver form through a U+tv event banner and submit a written account of a child’s story or experience. Submissions can cover any topic, including a child’s daily life, family memories, stories about pets, a first errand or growing-up experiences.
LG Uplus will select 3 entries from the submissions and produce them as 1 to 6-minute AI fairy-tale content. It will release the completed content in September on U+tv Kids Nation. Selected customers will receive a commemorative tumbler using a child’s drawing. Through a separate drawing, 10 people will also receive a mug cup.
Details such as how to participate and prizes can be found on LG Uplus’ official social media channels and the U+tv Kids Nation event banner.
Jeong Jin-yi (정진이), head of the Home & Media Product Tribe at LG Uplus, said, “This event is meaningful in that it offers customers the experience of turning a child’s story into content themselves.” She added, “We will continue to use AI technology to expand content experiences that customers can take part in with enjoyment and meaning.”
