Britain's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is running a stablecoin regulatory sandbox and has selected four companies, including Revolut, as test participants, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 25.

The sandbox also includes Monee Financial Technologies, ReStabilise and VVTX. The FCA plans to allow the firms to test a range of use cases including stablecoin issuance and payments and cryptocurrency trading.

Matthew Long (매튜 롱), the FCA's head of payments and digital assets, said, "We will support stablecoin issuers in the UK to build trusted payment and trading systems." He said, "This aligns with the government's national payments vision while also increasing consumer protection and the safety of financial transactions."

The four companies will begin testing from the first quarter of 2026, and the results are expected to be reflected in the UK's stablecoin regulations later in 2026.
