Shinhan Bank is teaming up with the Government Officials Pension Service to expand AI and digital finance education and financial fraud prevention training for retired civil servants.
Shinhan Bank said on July 16 it signed a business agreement with the Government Officials Pension Service at the Seoul Sangnok Hall in Seoul's Gangnam district to strengthen retired civil servants' AI and digital financial capabilities and protect financial consumers.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will jointly operate tailored financial education programmes on financial fraud prevention, AI use, digital finance and asset management. They will also push joint campaigns and publicity to spread a culture of financial consumer protection.
Shinhan Bank plans to use its AI and digital finance education centre, Shinhan Hakijae, to offer training that allows retired civil servants to experience AI and digital finance directly. It will also run asset management education focused on fund management after receiving pensions and understanding financial products.
It also plans to promote a way to use Shinhan Hakijae as an exchange space linked to social participation activities by retired civil servants, including the Government Officials Pension Service's Sangnok Volunteer Group.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "Through cooperation with the Government Officials Pension Service, we will provide practical education so that retired civil servants can adapt steadily to the changing AI and digital financial environment."
