NHN Dooray said on July 14 it supplied its all-in-one collaboration tool Dooray to the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education.
The Ulsan education office has operated Dooray under the name USEUP since July 1. The company said it was the first case of a provincial education office adopting a software-as-a-service-based collaboration tool.
The Ulsan education office integrated communication channels that had been scattered across departments into a single system through Dooray. It also enabled work functions such as email, messenger and calendar to be used in one place.
It also allows joint document work based on files stored in a shared project drive. The company said this reduced the inconvenience of having to exchange documents by email or messenger and check the latest version.
Through a mobile application, users can access collaboration functions or handle urgent work while out of the office. The SaaS format also supports feature updates without a separate operational burden.
The Ulsan education office plans to cut document printing and face-to-face reporting procedures to build a paperless education administration environment.
Baek Chang-yeol (백창열), CEO of NHN Dooray, said, "Dooray was introduced in SaaS form for the first time to an education office responsible for regional education." He added, "We will expand the service to teachers in the Ulsan area as well to support the education field and administrative work."
