Initech, a company specialising in information security and financial IT services, took part in the AI special exhibition hall at the 15th Information Protection Day ceremony held on July 8 and revealed results from a next-generation network security framework, N2SF (Network Security Framework), linked to Korea Expressway Corp, as well as zero-trust-based security results.

At the event, Initech introduced the INI-ICAM and INI-ZEROTRUST security platforms through the AI special exhibition hall to respond to the national network security system (N2SF) and the shift to zero trust. Based on outcomes from an N2SF project in which Korea Expressway Corp participated as a demand-side organisation, it presented an identity-based access control and threat response system needed in large-scale network environments.

Regarding the project, Initech emphasised that it was meaningful because it was carried out based on the actual network environment of Korea Expressway Corp, a key institution for South Korea's transportation and logistics infrastructure. It also stressed that it confirmed the applicability of a zero-trust security model that controls access by comprehensively assessing user identity, permissions, connection context and threat information even in complex and wide-ranging public infrastructure environments.

INI-ICAM, presented by Initech, is a security platform centred on identity and access management (ICAM) that integrates authentication, permissions, policy and threat response functions. It provides features including a dashboard that collects threat events and quantifies threat scores based on threat assessment rules; adaptive authentication assessment reflecting user permissions, connection context and threat scores; an OPA engine and Policy-as-Code configuration for policy-based access control; and an automated response workflow that responds immediately when high risk is detected.

Initech plans to expand its zero-trust and N2SF-related business based on INI-ICAM and INI-ZEROTRUST and strengthen the competitiveness of its security platform to respond to large-scale network environments.

An Initech official said it was meaningful to share N2SF and zero-trust results linked to Korea Expressway Corp to mark Information Protection Day on July 8. The official said Initech will continue to provide a security foundation so public institutions and companies can pursue digital transformation with confidence in line with the transition to the national network security system and the spread of zero trust.
