[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] Shinhan Bank has revamped its TV-based financial information channel, 'Shinhan Home Bank', into a finance and lifestyle content channel for senior customers. It provides information on preventing financial fraud, leisure activities and senior financial products, and it strengthened links to mobile video consultations.

Shinhan Bank said on Tuesday it renewed Shinhan Home Bank, operated on KT IPTV channel 777, as a finance and lifestyle content channel for senior customers.

Reflecting the high share of senior users, it revamped content and screen layout around the interests and financial needs of customers aged 50 and over.

The revamp strengthens 'Shinhan Home Bank' as the main channel introducing Shinhan Bank's senior brand, 'Solmate'.

The revamped channel provides leisure and lifestyle content such as park golf, major cases and prevention tips for voice phishing, and information on financial products and services needed by senior customers, including testamentary substitute trusts and the 'SOL Travel Check Card'.

It also strengthened park golf content, which has become a leisure activity for the senior generation. Shinhan Bank is also introducing a programme produced in collaboration with the YouTube channel 'Bae Dong-sung's 3-Tae Chigi'.

It also improved the way it provides financial consultations. After the revamp, users can scan a QR code shown on the broadcast screen with a smartphone to connect to a mobile video consultation.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We pursued this revamp to develop Shinhan Home Bank into a lifestyle-oriented channel that closely reflects senior customers' interests and financial needs."
