[DigitalToday reporter Sang-yeop Oh] KB Securities is carrying out a lunchbox support programme for vulnerable children at risk of missing meals.
KB Securities said on July 7 it is running the 'Kkaebi Hope Lunchbox' support programme for vulnerable children.
Now in its second year, Kkaebi Hope Lunchbox is KB Securities' corporate social contribution programme that delivers lunchboxes directly to children’s homes during periods when meal services are not provided and children must worry about meals.
To provide healthy food for children in their growing years, KB Securities will support lunchboxes focused on low-salt meals and nutritious menus. The support provides five meals a week and will run for a total of 26 weeks.
Around the upcoming Chuseok holiday and Christmas, it also plans to deliver special meals to give children special memories. Lunchbox deliveries will be made through local community welfare centres.
Kang Jin-doo (강진두), chief executive of KB Securities, said meal support for vulnerable children is the most basic investment for sustainable development in society and a step toward coexistence.
