KT is pushing strategic business cooperation with Starship Entertainment using the companies’ character intellectual property (IP).

KT said on July 7 it signed an agreement with Starship Entertainment to release collaboration goods using both sides’ character IP.

The signing ceremony was held on June 29. Under the agreement, KT plans to introduce collaboration goods that combine Starship Entertainment’s main character MINIVE and KT’s own character Mint Raon for new mobile devices scheduled for release.

MINIVE is an official character motif based on IVE, a group under Starship Entertainment. Since its launch in May 2023, it has attracted interest from global K-pop fans. Mint Raon is a mint-colored cat character that considers the environment. It has been used in KT’s new devices, mobile accessories, customer events and exhibitions, helping build brand familiarity.

KT unveiled the Mint Raon 3-in-1 fast wireless charger in March to coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S26. About 25,000 units were sold within a month of release.

KT and Starship Entertainment will launch a MINIVE x Mint Raon collaboration edition based on the 3-in-1 fast charger to coincide with Samsung Electronics’ flagship Galaxy Foldable8 lineup, scheduled for release in August. The goods will be sold at some KT offline stores nationwide and on KT.com, its online channel.

Lee Jun-ho (이준호), executive director in charge of device marketing at KT, said, "We will continue to expand collaboration with various IP to broaden customer touchpoints and introduce differentiated products and services that can raise customer satisfaction."
