Encore, an AI and data specialist, said on Sunday it has built a data portal to support data-driven decision-making and the use of AI at IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
The company said the system was designed around a core vision of one-click data acquisition, one-stop data analysis and One-Insight sharing of analytical value. It said the portal has been implemented as an environment in which all employees can use data.
Encore also emphasised building a "virtuous data cycle ecosystem" in which data creation, use and sharing are repeated with the participation and use of all employees.
Users can search for and view the data they need in the data portal, then process and use it in a personal analysis environment or personal folder. They can register datasets created from the results of use back in the data catalogue for reuse. This makes it possible to turn data into assets by continuously accumulating and sharing data knowledge and analytical assets across the organisation.
An IBK Industrial Bank of Korea official said, "In the AI era, accessibility to data and the ability to use it determines corporate competitiveness." The official said the financial sector in particular must carry out work using clearer data. "Through the construction of this data portal, we have set up an environment to strengthen employees' data literacy and established a culture that can respond proactively in the AI era," the official said.
An Encore official said, "Ultimately, the success or failure of AI depends on how systematically you secure and use reliable data." The official said the project connected data management and use processes organically from an AI-ready data perspective, and also laid the data foundation for using AI and AI agents at IBK Industrial Bank of Korea. "We will continue to support improvements in AI Data Readiness and innovation in data use so that IBK Industrial Bank of Korea can establish itself as a financial institution leading data use and AI internalisation," the official said.
