Albamon, a part-time job platform operated by Workspere, said on Sunday it released a first list of “2026 employers in wage arrears.”
Albamon posts on its website and mobile app notices a list of employers in wage arrears announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, to help job seekers avoid unfair harm after being hired. A total of 859 cases, including new targets, are disclosed. The workplace information and unpaid amounts added this time will be displayed until April 26, 2029. Disclosed items include the representative’s name, workplace name, location and unpaid amount.
The list covers employers that were finalised through the Wage Arrears Information Deliberation Committee. It applies to employers whose guilt was confirmed at least twice for failing to pay wages and other payments within the past 3 years before the annual Aug. 31 reference date for the ministry’s public disclosure list, and whose total unpaid amount in the year immediately before the reference date is at least 30 million won.
Inclusion on the list also leads to restrictions on recruitment services. New member registration is blocked under the relevant business registration number. Existing members are also unable to use key functions such as posting job openings and editing member information. JobKorea, also operated by Workspere, posts the same list of employers and restricts the company’s use of its services. Albamon and JobKorea have been disclosing the list of employers in wage arrears since July 2015.
An Albamon official said wage arrears are serious harm because job seekers do not receive proper compensation for their work. The official said it is important to help people check risk factors even before applying. The official said Albamon and JobKorea will continue strengthening job seeker protection measures, including disclosing the list of employers in wage arrears and providing “safe” job postings, to take the lead in creating an environment where people can work with trust.
