[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] KB Kookmin Bank will run a cooperative "open store" to help local small merchants expand their sales channels and boost the regional economy.

KB Kookmin Bank said on July 3 it will run the "open store" with Hyundai Department Store and the National Pension Service from July 6 to 9 at the National Pension Service Happiness Pension Hall in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.

KB Kookmin Bank will fully cover the open store’s operating costs to reduce merchants’ cost burden. Hyundai Department Store will select and present brands that are difficult to find in the region, while the National Pension Service will provide the venue and handle recruitment and promotion for local small merchants.

During the event, a "KB Small Business Consulting" booth will also be operated. It will offer participating companies tailored consulting covering both financial and non-financial areas, including commercial district analysis, financial advice, management and marketing, fund management and tax saving.

Seminars for local residents will also be held. KB Kookmin Bank will host "Golden Class" on July 7 and 8 at the Onnuri Hall of the National Pension Service Happiness Pension Hall. It plans lectures on the economy, AI industry trends, stock market outlook, senior health management, and asset management and tax-saving strategies.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue to practice inclusive finance with local communities and expand services that provide practical help to small merchants and local residents."
