KB Kookmin Bank has launched a dedicated organisation to innovate the financial service development process using AI.

KB Kookmin Bank said on July 2 it launched the 'KB AI Dev (Development) Center' on July 1.

The KB AI Dev Center was set up to build a development environment in which AI participates in the entire financial service development process.

The center will carry out automated code generation, prototype development, real-time verification of security and errors, and tests and suitability assessments for applying the latest AI technologies. It plans to provide an integrated development system that supports the full development process based on an R&D network.

KB Kookmin Bank will operate the center as a forward base to quickly apply the latest external AI technologies to the financial service development process. It plans to shorten development time by introducing a fast-track system that directly links global AI code agent solutions, such as Claude Code, to working-level development processes.

It will also apply its self-developed 'Hanes'. The tool is designed to automatically reflect the bank's development standards and security policies from requirements planning through code generation, build and testing, and to raise service reliability and quality through real-time verification.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will strengthen AI development capabilities by adding technological innovation to finance's trust and stability," adding, "Using global AI technologies, we will continue to provide customers with more convenient and differentiated financial services."
