[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee] Banksalad has been selected for a government MyData service support project and will develop a healthcare management service based on healthcare MyData.

Banksalad said on Wednesday it was finally selected for the MyData service support project hosted by the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

With the selection, Banksalad will begin developing a public-facing healthcare MyData service that allows users to directly manage personal health and medical data scattered across multiple medical institutions and use it for health management.

It will first push to build a chronic disease prevention and management service. Previously, checkup results and test figures were dispersed by medical institution, limiting users’ ability to continuously track changes or use them for disease prevention.

Banksalad plans to restructure statistical incidence-rate services and healthcare MyData around diseases to help users understand and manage their health conditions.

The service will include a health risk-factor dashboard, health risk-factor analysis, analysis of trends in changes in test figures and customised prevention and management guides. It aims to enable monitoring of health indicators such as fasting blood glucose.

A Banksalad official said, "We want to move toward a service that takes responsibility for health with data, beyond financial services." The official added, "We will integrate health and medical data to create an environment where customers can judge and manage their health priorities on their own."
