Sejong Telecom, a digital infrastructure company based on electricity and telecommunications, said on Wednesday it will proceed with the transfer of its budget mobile subscribers to Gogo Factory.

The transfer is part of Sejong Telecom's plan to gradually end its budget mobile service. The two companies will pursue the subscriber transfer with user protection as the top priority, based on a close cooperative relationship.

Sejong Telecom plans to provide detailed customer guidance and support with Gogo Factory throughout the transfer process so customers can continue using the service with confidence, while minimising inconvenience that could arise during the transition.

Ahead of the full transfer, Sejong Telecom will introduce recommended plans under the "Snowman x Gogo Mobile" brand for subscribers who voluntarily want to move. The plans are designed to help customers choose services more reasonably based on their usage patterns and needs.

Earlier, Sejong Telecom signed a basic agreement last year with budget mobile operator Eyesvision to transfer subscribers and carried out a first transfer.

Sejong Telecom Chief Executive Sang-cheol Lee (이상철) said, "Sejong Telecom will do its utmost to ensure a stable service transfer with user protection as the top priority." He added it will work closely with Gogo Factory so customers who want to move voluntarily, even after the transfer, can choose services under better terms and with greater convenience.
