Initech said on Tuesday it has completed an upgrade of its application service provider (ASP) service for customers including financial industry clients by applying distributed NoSQL database technology from global data platform company Couchbase.
Initech said the move improves the stability and scalability of its ASP service and secures a data-processing foundation that can be linked to AI-based financial services in the future.
The company said digital transactions have been expanding rapidly in the financial industry, including mobile banking, non-face-to-face authentication and simple payments. It said this is increasing the importance of operating infrastructure that can process large volumes of data reliably. It also said demand is rising for scalable data platforms that can be linked to future AI services, as the adoption of generative AI and data-based financial services increases.
Initech said applying Couchbase's distributed database structure enhances its ability to process large-scale transactions. It said it also provides a foundation to respond more flexibly to system expansion driven by customer growth and business expansion.
Initech said it plans to use the platform upgrade to improve the quality of existing services while expanding its business scope as a data infrastructure partner supporting financial clients' digital transformation and AI service adoption.
