Woori Financial Group's Woori Financial Future Foundation is launching a nationwide item donation campaign to support job creation for people with developmental disabilities.
The foundation said on Tuesday it will run the item donation campaign, titled "Uriga One," through the 31st with CJ Logistics and Goodwill Store operated by the Miral Welfare Foundation.
"Uriga One" is a participatory donation campaign that connects the entire process at once, from applying to donate through the Woori WON Banking app to home pickup by CJ Logistics and delivery to Goodwill Store.
Participants can apply through a banner on the Woori WON Banking app or via the menu path "Benefits-Convenience-Goodwill Store item donation." CJ Logistics collects items from homes when donors pack reusable goods such as clothing and household items and leave them in front of their residences.
Proceeds from sales of collected items will be used for wages and expanding jobs for employees with developmental disabilities working at Goodwill Store.
Participants who request donation receipts can receive tax deduction benefits during year-end tax settlement. The foundation will also select 200 participants by lottery and provide a 10,000 won CJ mobile gift voucher and commemorative goods made with the "Goodwill donation box" as a motif.
Kun-woo Shin (신건우), a deputy manager at Woori Financial Future Foundation, said it linked Woori WON Banking with CJ Logistics' logistics infrastructure so anyone can conveniently take part in item donations in daily life.
