KT said on Monday its university student marketing supporters group, Y Futurelist (YF), has concluded the YF Mint Crew project it planned and ran, wrapping up activities in Pyeongchang and Incheon.

YF Mint Crew is a program in which people in their 20s take part directly from planning through execution, linking everyday life with social values such as local communities, the environment and culture. The project involved five crews: Pyeongchang's Y Way, Incheon's Y-Seasners, Suwon's Dajupja Crew, Seoul's Dododok Crew and Seoul's Hyuhyujajeok Nagune-deul.

The program operated under a "participation-recording-spreading" format, in which participants experienced local areas and culture directly and recorded and spread their activities as content.

Satisfaction among university students who took part in the program was also high. One student, Gyu-ri Kim (김규리), who participated as part of the YF planning group, said the most meaningful part was being able to plan and carry out the entire process of the project beyond simple participation. KT said it plans to refine a locally linked participation model based on the project and strengthen content distribution and external collaboration.

Young-geol Kim (김영걸), head of KT's Customer Business Division and an executive director, said, "Through this project, we confirmed the possibility that young people can newly interpret local communities and society and create positive change." He added, "We will expand participation opportunities so that people in their 20s can connect with society in their own way."
