Commemorative stamps for the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) League featuring images of 10 professional baseball clubs will be issued.
Korea Post, under the Ministry of Science and ICT, said on Monday it will issue 10 types of commemorative stamps featuring the mascot of each KBO League club, totaling 700,000, on July 10.
The stamps feature the uniforms and representative mascots of the KBO League’s 10 clubs against the backdrop of a baseball field with blue grass. Korea Post said the release is more meaningful because it will be issued during the period of the KBO All-Star Game, when the first half of the season is wrapped up and top players gather in one place.
The commemorative stamps can be purchased by visiting a nearby main post office or through the online post office.
Park In-hwan (박인환), head of Korea Post, said, "I hope the brilliant moments of the KBO League will be remembered for a long time through these commemorative stamps that bring back happy memories that baseball gives."
