Hana Bank on Monday launched a "youth MyData service" to help teenagers aged 14 and over manage assets and build spending habits.
The service was prepared in line with the Financial Services Commission's April 2024 tasks to 추진 "MyData 2.0" and revisions to related laws.
Existing MyData services were available only to those aged 19 and over, but the new service is open to teenagers aged 14 and over. They can sign up directly without separate consent from a legal guardian.
Upon signing up, users can view at once their assets and spending history, including deposits, instalment savings, debit cards and simple payment services. They can also use a "card performance alert service" that sends notifications when spending by card reaches a preset level.
It also provides visualised reports, such as comparisons of spending from the previous month and analyses of spending over the past 6 months.
A Hana Bank official said the youth MyData service was designed to help teenagers, a future generation, form sound financial habits early and build systematic asset management capabilities.
