Hancom With, a security, authentication and digital finance affiliate of Hancom Group, said on Monday it has launched Hancom xFWeb, an installation-free security solution that protects web communications data from quantum-computing hacking threats without requiring users to install a separate security program.

The company said Hancom xFWeb is designed to be applied to web applications while minimizing changes to client systems. Users can also use it without installing a separate EXE-based security program.

The company stressed that it applies a Crypto-Agility-based design, seen as a key element of future security. It said this reduces the burden on clients from legacy system complexity built up over years, system malfunctions caused by ageing, and replacement costs. It said the product supports a safe and efficient transition to a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) system while minimizing system changes.

Hancom With plans to expand supply of Hancom xFWeb, focusing on the public and financial sectors that must secure both regulatory compliance and security, in line with the government's policy to gradually restrict installed security software and demands to shift cryptography systems. Song Sang-yup (송상엽), CEO of Hancom With, said, "An installation-free security environment and a shift to post-quantum cryptography are emerging as important security tasks in the public and financial markets." He said, "Based on tailored solutions that can secure crypto agility, Hancom With will proactively respond to changing security policies and market trends."
