Agentic AI startup Enhance said on Monday it has worked with the Armed Forces Financial Management Group to apply AI agents to construction cost review work.

Enhance signed a business agreement with the Armed Forces Financial Management Group in October last year to apply generative AI. It then formed a civil-military technology cooperation task force, structured criteria for reviewing construction costs into AI-executable work knowledge and normalized cost data.

The resulting "construction cost calculation AI agent model" automatically handles repetitive verification tasks, including checking consistency between cost items, reviewing unit price standards and comparing quotation materials. The key was shifting from a method in which staff directly cross-checked design documents, cost statements and unit price materials to an AI-based verification workflow.

Enhance adopted a human-in-the-loop approach in which AI presents verification results and the basis for judgments, and staff make the final decision.

Enhance CEO Seung-hyun Lee (이승현) said, "We will continue to expand the scope of AI agent applications in the defense sector, where high reliability and strict security are required."
