NCSoft's massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Lineage2M is officially entering the Chinese market and showing early momentum.
On June 25, NCSoft said the China service began in earnest at 9 a.m. on June 24 through local publisher Tencent Games. The local service name is “Tiantang 2: Mengyue” (天堂2: 盟約).
Shortly after its official launch, the game reached No. 1 on the local Apple App Store popularity ranking, drawing interest from local users.
Tencent Games initially launched the service with 12 servers, but urgently added 24 more as large numbers of users logged in. It is now operating a total of 36 servers.
