Toss Payments, an electronic payment gateway unit of Viva Republica, is teaming up with global commerce platform Shopify to roll out a direct-integration payment solution.
Toss Payments said on June 24 that the partnership with Shopify will offer a direct-integration service that allows users to use the Toss Payments payment solution within Shopify.
Under the service, operators of Shopify-based online stores can link the Toss Payments payment system through contract and setup procedures without separate technical development.
Merchants can use the service by installing an app in Shopify’s admin screen and then activating payment methods. This allows them to introduce payment methods suited to the domestic market and build an operating environment that can manage everything from payment approvals to settlements.
Toss Payments plans to support merchants by reducing their development burden and helping them build an optimized payment environment easily.
A Toss Payments official said, "We have laid the groundwork for business operators to introduce payment infrastructure more efficiently," adding, "We plan to continuously enhance payment services suited to the global commerce environment."
