KT M Mobile said on Monday it has become the first in the budget mobile carrier industry to receive the 'web accessibility quality certification mark' for 11 consecutive years.
The web accessibility quality certification mark is a nationally recognised certification programme obtained through an assessment by an accredited certification body designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT. It is awarded to websites that comply with national standard guidelines so all users, including people with disabilities and older adults, can use them conveniently.
This year, KT M Mobile was recognised for efforts to improve web accessibility on its official direct mall. It said it improved convenience by applying clear contrast, inserting and improving alternative text, supporting text-to-speech through captions and tags, enabling keyboard use for all menus, and providing appropriate titles and information to understand tables on pages.
The direct mall is a dedicated digital channel where users can access KT M Mobile services, from new activations to add-on service subscriptions and purchases of its eSIM data roaming service, 'Mobi'. KT M Mobile has maintained the web accessibility quality certification for 11 consecutive years through this year, after first obtaining certification in 2016, the year after its establishment.
Byeon Seok-ju (변석주), head of the Business Operations Division at KT M Mobile, said, "We will continue to do our best so anyone can use KT M Mobile's reasonable services conveniently and easily."
