Digital Asset Holdings raised $355 million after being valued at about $2 billion.
Cointelegraph reported on June 11 local time that the funding round was led by a16z Crypto.
a16z Crypto invested $100 million, and 7RIDGE, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Citadel Securities and Optiver also participated.
Digital Asset plans to use the funds to expand the Canton Network, which it develops and operates. The Canton Network supports financial institutions in tokenising and settling existing securities without disclosing sensitive commercial data.
The Canton Network has already entered pilot operations among major financial institutions. Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered, Societe Generale and Deutsche Boerse are participating in the pilot.
Digital Asset raised $135 million in June 2025 from DRW Venture Capital, Tradeweb, Citadel Securities, IMC, Optiver, Goldman Sachs and Virtu, among others. In December that year, it also received a strategic investment of $50 million with participation from BNY Mellon, Nasdaq, S&P Global and iCapital.
