Startup growth partner Dcamp will hold the 'Startup OI #Financial Sector' event with the Korea Fintech Support Center on June 24 at Dcamp Mapo.
Five startups — Goi Funeral Research Institute, Terafai, Tnaps, Whatsub and Wello — will take the stage with financial institutions' collaboration managers. Each team plans to present its problem-solving process, data and technology-based synergies, business performance and a vision for future cooperation.
Goi Funeral Research Institute provides funeral preparation services starting from 100 won a month through its one-stop funeral platform, Goi. It will present a case linking funeral services with finance after launching the 'OK Interest-earning Funeral Savings Plan' with OK Savings Bank that combines an annual interest rate of up to 4 percent with funeral mutual-aid benefits.
Terafai is a proptech company that developed 'Safe Registry Decision OS', which analyses risks before real estate contracts based on data. Based on its 'SafeHomes' service that allows checks on a home's status before a jeonse lease, it plans to present with Woori Bank a case of structuring real estate risk data that financial institutions can use.
AI agent reliability verification startup Tnaps provides a solution that verifies the reliability of financial AI answers. Based on technology that classifies AI-generated responses as pass, block or re-review according to work standards, it will present a case with KB Kookmin Bank on checking in advance risks that could arise in the use of AI.
Whatsub developed an AI-based data infrastructure that structures payments and merchant data around spending categories and behaviour patterns. It supports hyper-personalised marketing and advances AI services for financial firms, and plans to share a collaboration case with Shinhan Card.
AI-based gov-tech startup Wello operates a data platform that collects and refines government policy and subsidy data and recommends them in a customised way for individuals and companies. It will present a case with KakaoBank that strengthened links between policy data and financial services.
After the presentations, the Financial Services Commission chair's award will be given for the best case. Outstanding cases will receive the Korea Federation of Banks chair's award (Dcamp chair's award) and the Korea Fintech Support Center chair's award, respectively.
