Hancom said on Tuesday it had concluded its 2026 wage and collective bargaining agreement early.
Hancom plans to speed up its sovereign agentic operating system (OS) business and expand its global business, based on a culture of communication and trust between labour and management.
Under the agreement, Hancom raised salaries by an average of 5.8 percent to boost employee morale and improve compensation. It introduced and strengthened various provisions to improve working conditions, including welfare points and expanded annual leave.
Hancom plans to further accelerate new AI businesses, including the global "sovereign agentic operating system (OS)" it announced at a strategy presentation in May. At the time, Hancom unveiled a strategy for a sovereign agentic OS business that safely connects and controls internal organisational data, external AI models and existing work systems, and said it would push ahead with related businesses in earnest.
Kim Yeon-su (김연수), Hancom's chief executive, said the early agreement was an outcome created together as labour and management sympathised with the company's future growth direction. He said Hancom would successfully 추진 new AI businesses, including the sovereign agentic OS, and leap into a global AI company based on stable organisational operations.
