Piolink said on Jan. 7 it hired Vice President Jang Myung-ki to strengthen the capabilities of its business division and expand its market. It also appointed Vice President Lee Sung-min, the existing head of the business division, as head of its Japan business unit. Piolink said it made the two-track personnel moves to bolster its domestic and overseas business.
Jang, the new head of the business division, worked at IBM Korea for more than 30 years, handling IT sales across various industries.
Jang will oversee Piolink's overall domestic business and overseas business excluding Japan. He will be responsible for upgrading the business structure and strengthening execution across network, security and IT infrastructure.
Piolink plans to boost competitiveness in domestic and overseas markets and strengthen its growth engine, based on Jang's enterprise business experience.
Lee, the former head of the business division, will oversee the Japan business. Piolink views Japan as an important strategic overseas market. Lee is expected to pursue revenue growth and business expansion based on his experience in Japan and understanding of the local market.
