Quantum technology company SDT said on Sunday it signed a business partnership with video security company Viva centered on joint development and mass-production cooperation for "QRNG (quantum random number generation) encrypted AI CCTV."
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to integrate SDT's QRNG security module with Viva's AI CCTV hardware and software and introduce a finished product with enhanced end-to-end security.
SDT will be responsible for the QRNG module that provides pure quantum random numbers, hardware-software integration, firmware security design and technology to respond to National Intelligence Service security-suitability verification. Viva will handle overall product commercialisation, including mechanical design, video-processing software, manufacturing and mass production.
The companies will also step up preparations to enter the public sector and nationally important facilities markets. They plan to advance the cryptographic module, firmware and network security architecture to meet National Intelligence Service security-suitability verification standards and secure a leading security verification case for QRNG-based CCTV products.
Viva Chief Executive Jae-hak Lim (임재학) said as AI CCTV expands into public and industrial sites, the reliability and security of video data are becoming central to product competitiveness. He said Viva will combine its video security technology and manufacturing capabilities with SDT's QRNG quantum-security technology to introduce next-generation AI CCTV products with verified security to the market.
SDT Chief Executive Ji-won Yoon (윤지원) said the public security market demands the ability to meet the highest level of verification, and QRNG is an essential quantum technology that best fits that requirement. He said the cooperation is an important commercialisation turning point, going beyond simply supplying modules by installing QRNG technology in actual mass-produced edge devices, and that the company will change the paradigm in high-trust video security markets at home and abroad.
