Blomics is launching a new title based on the Fortress intellectual property on PC and mobile platforms simultaneously and is entering full service.

Blomics said on May 28 it simultaneously launched CCR-developed new shooting game "Fortress3 Blue" on PC, mobile Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

"Fortress3 Blue" is a 30th anniversary title based on the Fortress IP. It inherits the combat style of "Fortress2 Blue" and features more than 20 characters that represent the series. It supports a 4K graphics-based real-time battle-focused "Real-time Mode" and a "Turn Mode" for strategic play. Real-time Mode is designed so a match ends within 100 seconds.

It supports a cross-platform environment for PC and mobile and, for the PC version, is a new title being introduced for the first time in 12 years. It recorded 1,000,000 pre-registrations in December last year and has checked service stability through PC early access, which began on Dec. 31 that month.

With the official launch, 3 new characters were added. They are "Mecha Punch," which uses combat styles depending on transformation form, "Evil Bella," which uses blood and bats, and "Baseball Boy," which performs striking combat using a ball. Mecha Punch, produced to mark the 30th anniversary, applies a transformation-type combat concept.

A new item for the popular unit "Super Tank" was also added for the first time in 6 years, and a "Pro League" system was introduced in which tournaments based on individual matches and clan battles are operated at all times. It improved the growth system based on play progress and supplemented the tutorial for new users.

To mark the official launch, it will provide a representative tank, dedicated items, in-game currency and other rewards upon first login and will hold attendance events and offer coupons. On its official community, it prepared user participation events such as guessing background music and sharing strategy guides.

Yoon Seok-ho (윤석호), CCR’s chief producer who has handled the series since 1995, said, "Fortress3 Blue is a work that brings the fun and sensibility of the series to life while implementing it to fit the latest play environment." He added, "We will do our best to deliver new fun and memories to users who have loved Fortress for a long time."
