Notion, a global collaboration platform, said on May 26 it has unveiled the Notion Developer Platform, allowing developers and coding agents to build work automation and integration functions.

The Notion Developer Platform supports linking external work systems with Notion and implementing automation and integrated functions within permission scopes.

The platform consists of a command-line interface (CLI), a serverless runtime called Workers, an Agent software development kit (Agent SDK) and an External Agent application programming interface (External Agent API).

The CLI is an interface that lets developers read and write Notion from a terminal and manage and deploy Workers. Workers is a code execution environment hosted by Notion. It enables database synchronisation, webhook execution and agent tool calls without separate infrastructure.

The Agent SDK is a library that supports using Notion custom agents in external apps or workflows. The External Agent API links internal or external corporate coding agents to Notion.

Governance elements such as authentication, permissions and a sandbox execution environment are also included by default.

Vercel, a global app deployment and hosting cloud platform, increased product launch speed by 35 percent and saved up to 9 hours per employee per week with a Notion-based AI workspace, Notion said.

Dae-sung Park (박대성), head of Notion Korea, said, "An experience that naturally connects the information and task execution people need in the space where they are already working has greater value."
