Com2uS is officially sponsoring the Korea Women's Baseball Federation and is moving to develop youth girls baseball prospects and expand infrastructure.
Com2uS said on May 26 it delivered sponsorship funds to the Korea Women's Baseball Federation at the opening ceremony of the Women’s Baseball Festival 2026, held on May 23 at Cheonan Baseball Stadium in South Chungcheong Province.
The event was attended by Jeong-ho Kim (김정호), head of Com2uS' baseball business division, Hye-jin Lim (임혜진), president of the Korea Women's Baseball Federation, and Young-jin Ahn (안영진), coach of the Cheonan Junior Women’s Baseball Team, among other officials.
Through the sponsorship, Com2uS will help improve training conditions for the Cheonan Junior Women’s Baseball Team, an official development team under the Korea Women's Baseball Federation and the country's only single junior team. It also plans to select youth girls baseball prospects nationwide and provide scholarships and baseball equipment.
The Cheonan Junior Women’s Baseball Team has competed in adult-focused national tournaments and recorded results including a runner-up finish last year in the Women’s Baseball Division 6 Future League.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) league has diversified its fan base recently, with annual attendance surpassing 12,000,000 and women accounting for 57 percent of spectators. However, South Korea has only a small number of women's baseball teams at middle and high schools and in corporate and professional ranks. Com2uS plans to use the sponsorship to create a foundation for women baseball players to grow in a stable environment.
Jeong-ho Kim, head of Com2uS' baseball business division, said, "I am glad that an opportunity has been created to repay the great love sent by baseball fans and users." He said, "We will continue support for the development of amateur baseball, including youth girls baseball, so that baseball can develop further as a national sport."
Com2uS has also sponsored the Little and Women’s Baseball Tournament for the Players Association President’s Cup for a second consecutive year with the Korea Professional Baseball Players Association, and has provided support to high school baseball teams in underserved regions, among other initiatives.
