Cybersecurity specialist Genians is entering the quantum security market in earnest as part of its Zero Trust 3.0 strategy.

Genians said on May 26 that development of core technology for its Quantum Security Gateway, which blocks hacking threats in the era of quantum computing, has entered a final validation stage. It said the R&D will secure proprietary quantum security capabilities that can compete with global top-tier players. The company plans to build strong dominance in the quantum security market.

Genians stressed that the Quantum Security Gateway is significant because it has introduced a proprietary quantum cryptography system as a top priority for completing its next-generation Zero Trust 3.0 strategy.

According to the company, the Quantum Security Gateway reflects the latest post-quantum cryptography (PQC) technology on top of its existing ZTNA solution framework. It also embeds a high-performance key management system (KMS) that controls the entire lifecycle of cryptographic keys, creating a complex security structure.

The company added that the gateway design, which internalises and combines both PQC and key management (KMS), requires advanced security expertise. Lee Dong-beom (이동범), CEO of Genians, said, "We will secure technological capabilities to protect customer assets from quantum computing threats, contribute to national cybersecurity, and expand coverage to the global market with those core assets to firmly establish the standing of K-security."
