Netmarble is moving to expand services after finalising plans to run an offline pop-up store and a major update schedule for its new RPG "Mongil: Star Dive" (Mongil).
Netmarble said on May 22 it revealed details of Mongil’s first pop-up store through a developer livestream the previous day.
The event will be held for 5 days from June 3 to June 7 at the Central Atrium on the first floor of Starfield Hanam. It will feature official merchandise being unveiled for the first time, a game experience zone and offline events.
A version 1.1 major update will be applied on May 27. It will introduce a new ice-attribute character, Narae, and the first legendary monster, Reginula, and will release main story Episode 6. Various convenience improvements reflecting user feedback are also set to be applied.
To mark the livestream, Netmarble provided coupons for key items including premium salmon puree, a purple ascension stone and a compass of promise. Starting with this broadcast, it plans to hold relay livestreams on its English and Japanese YouTube channels on May 22 and May 25, respectively, and communicate with global users.
Mongil is a sequel to "Monster Taming". It features character and story direction based on Unreal Engine 5, a "monster collecting" system for capturing, collecting and combining monsters, and real-time tag play based on a three-member party.
