[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Jeff Bezos (제프 베조스), the founder of Amazon, said plans for space data centres are realistic but dismissed forecasts that they could be put into orbit within the next 2 to 3 years.
CNBC reported on May 20 that Bezos said sending data centres into space is highly realistic, but he expects the timing could be later than some in the market anticipate.
In an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, Bezos said, "A plan to deploy data centres in space orbit within the next 2 to 3 years will not happen."
Bezos did not deny the direction of space data centres itself. He stressed that the short-term timetable being discussed in the market may be far from reality.
