Document AI agent specialist Romin said on Tuesday it has secured a strategic investment from Naver Cloud and will expand its cloud-based document AI business.
The company said Naver Cloud participated in the investment after considering Romin’s implementation references in the public and financial sectors and the scalability of its document automation business.
The companies said they have supplied a document workflow automation platform across industries including the public, finance, manufacturing and healthcare, and have pursued joint business initiatives based on their partnership. They plan to broaden the scope of cooperation through the investment and strengthen their response to industry-specific AX markets.
Romin CEO Ji-hong Kang (강지홍) said, "This investment is highly meaningful in that it recognizes Romin's technological capabilities and potential for business expansion." He said, "As our business cooperation with Naver Cloud has led to a strategic investment, we will continue to drive innovation in automating document-processing work as a document AI industry company."
