Panasonic Korea launched the pocket-sized digital compact camera Lumix TZ300 on May 15, targeting travel and vlog demand.
The Lumix TZ300 uses a 1.0-inch BSI CMOS large sensor of about 20.1 megapixels to minimise noise and produce clear images even in low light. It applies a LEICA-certified 24 to 360 mm 15x optical zoom lens, capturing subjects from wide landscapes to distant targets without loss of image quality. Its AF macro function enables close-up shooting from as near as 3 cm in front of the lens.
Its video features have also been strengthened. It supports 4K (3,840 by 2,160) recording, and it can produce slow-motion video with FHD 120 fps high-speed recording. Using the 4K Photo function, users can extract a photo from video recorded at 30 frames per second. For stabilisation, it carries POWER O.I.S. and 5-axis HYBRID O.I.S.+ in a dual setup, delivering stable results even while filming on the move.
It has 22 creative filters built in, and it can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to share content immediately after shooting. It supports USB-C charging, allowing convenient power management with a portable battery outdoors. The body measures about 111.2(W) by 66.4(H) by 45.2(D) mm, excluding protrusions.
A Panasonic Korea official said, "This product compresses high-end shooting features into a compact size that fits in one hand. It enables telephoto shooting and stable video recording that are difficult to achieve with smartphones, and it should be able to meet demand for content creation."
