[DigitalToday reporter Sangyeop Oh] Mirae Asset Management has introduced a guide for investors in single-stock leverage products tied to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
Mirae Asset Management said on May 19 it has published a "Single-Stock Leverage Investment Guidebook." The guidebook was produced to improve understanding among investors preparing to invest in single-stock leverage products linked to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix and to strengthen investor protection.
TIGER ETF plans to list "TIGER Samsung Electronics Single-Stock Leverage" and "TIGER SK Hynix Single-Stock Leverage" on May 27.
The guidebook includes an outlook for South Korea's semiconductor industry, as well as the structure and features of single-stock leverage products and precautions for investing.
It explains that because single-stock leverage products carry high investment risk, understanding their structure and volatility is more important than for general ETFs.
Under financial authorities' guidelines, investors must complete the "Pre-trade education (advanced course) for single-stock leverage and inverse listed products" provided by the Korea Financial Investment Education Institute in order to trade the products. The guidebook also sets out education procedures by investor type and the actual trading methods.
Kim Soo-jung (김수정), head of the Content Division at Mirae Asset Management, said, "This guidebook is a guide produced so that even investors encountering single-stock leverage products for the first time can understand them easily."
