SK Hynix was named the best large company to work for, based on reviews from employees.
JobPlanet, a career platform operated by AI and data-based HR tech platform WorkSphere, selected and announced the "Top 10 large companies to work for" based on accumulated employee review data from the past year.
The ranking is based on reviews submitted by current and former employees at domestic large companies from April last year to April this year. It was calculated by adding ratings across 5 categories: work-life balance, promotion opportunities, pay and benefits, corporate culture and CEO approval.
SK Hynix ranked first overall with a total score of 20.92. It topped 4 categories: pay and benefits with 4.7 points, corporate culture with 4.18 points, CEO approval with 4.05 points and promotion opportunities with 4.02 points.
GS Caltex ranked second with 20.3 points. It posted the highest score in work-life balance with 4.73 points. Hyundai Motor ranked third with 19.5 points. It received solid reviews across major categories including work-life balance at 4.21 points and pay and benefits at 4.34 points. The rest of the top 10, in order, were POSCO Holdings, NongHyup Bank, Samsung Electronics, KT, Lotte Chemical, LG Electronics and Hanwha.
A JobPlanet official said job seekers are using more varied criteria to judge careers, increasing the importance of information based on real employee experience. The official said the company will continue to provide reliable HR information to both job seekers and companies based on accumulated review data.
