GS25 is expanding its 24-hour delivery service through Coupang Eats to major regions nationwide. GS25, operated by GS Retail, will start 24-hour delivery from May 19 at about 1,000 outlets, excluding parts of Seoul and Gyeonggi and some areas of the six major metropolitan cities, it said on May 18. The expansion will allow customers to order GS25 products without time limits. It plans to gradually widen delivery coverage to all areas where Coupang Eats begins 24-hour operations.
GS25 has operated late-night delivery services until 3 a.m. at about 2,500 outlets since November 2025. Delivery sales during late-night hours at those stores, from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., rose 42.7 percent in six months. Over the same period, late-night delivery's share of total delivery sales rose 4.3 percentage points to 21.7 percent in April 2026 from 17.4 percent in November 2025. The company said it decided to expand the service as it judged late-night hours were emerging as a new period of sales growth.
Key late-night purchases were snacks at 9.7 percent, ice cream at 8.3 percent, noodles at 7.8 percent, carbonated drinks at 6.8 percent and bread at 5.7 percent. Demand for simple meals and snacks was high. GS25 plans to continue introducing products and promotions with high late-night demand, reflecting those patterns. It aims to improve customer convenience while also boosting franchisee profits.
GS25 has built a nationwide network by working with multiple delivery platforms, including its own app, Our Neighborhood GS, since it first introduced quick commerce services in 2016. It is using an O4O (online to offline) structure as its key strategy, linking customers acquired online to repeat visits to offline stores.
Shin Hak-dong (신학동), head of the O4O business strategy team at GS Retail, said, "We expect that this expansion of 24-hour delivery will provide customers with greater convenience and franchisees with additional sales opportunities." He added, "We will continue to advance differentiated quick commerce services and evolve into a lifestyle platform that connects all aspects of customers' daily lives."
