Mgame's performance fell from a year earlier in the first quarter due to a base effect, but revenue rebounded from the previous quarter. It will also continue shareholder return policies such as launching new titles in the second half and buying back shares.

Mgame said in a regulatory filing on Thursday it posted first-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue of 24.2 billion won, operating profit of 3.2 billion won and net profit of 4.5 billion won.

Revenue, operating profit and net profit fell 10.5 percent, 51.0 percent and 20.2 percent, respectively, from a year earlier. Strong performance in the first quarter of last year following expanded channels for 'Knight Online' in North America and Europe acted as a base effect. From the previous quarter, revenue and net profit rose 4.3 percent and 19.5 percent, respectively, while operating profit fell 25 percent.

Mgame plans to run pre-registrations in the third quarter for 'Raising Guhon', an idle mobile game based on its popular intellectual property 'Guhon'.

In the second half, it plans to expand its lineup by reopening a PC massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on its legacy IP 'Punglim Hwasan' and launching 1 mobile game publishing service title.

It is also strengthening shareholder returns. After deciding a cash dividend of 222 won per share last year and retiring all 341,303 treasury shares, it disclosed on Wednesday plans to buy back 2 billion won worth of shares for cancellation.

Mgame CEO Yi-hyeong Kwon (권이형) said, "The first quarter of 2026 saw a base effect from last year's record performance, but revenue rose from the previous quarter and we are maintaining a stable trend." He added, "We will strengthen growth momentum through new title launches in the second half and by targeting global markets."
