LG Uplus said on Wednesday it will take part in the 2026 YouTube FanFest in collaboration with Google and YouTube and operate an AI experiential pop-up booth called the "Simply. U+ Heart Post Office."
YouTube FanFest, to be held from May 15 to 17 at S-Factory in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, is an event where creators, fans and younger generations share content and culture in one place.
LG Uplus said it focused on a generational trait of being accustomed to mobile messages and social media communication, leaving them with little experience visiting a real post office or writing handwritten letters. It will combine the analog feel of "letters" with AI technology to express, in an emotional way, "connection," which it described as the essence of telecommunications.
It set up the Simply. U+ Heart Post Office booth based on familiar themes of a post office and letters. Visitors enter the recipient and message they want to deliver through a kiosk, and AI simplifies the content and prints it out in letter form.
Based on scenario-driven missions, it is made up of the Simple. Heart Reception Office, Simple. Stamp Ticket Office, Simple. Heart Dispatch Office and the Simple. Special Mission Zone. Visitors can earn stamps through mini-games, then choose one of three options: put the written letter into a creator mailbox, deliver it in person, or use LG Uplus support for actual mailing.
Each stage of the experience incorporates LG Uplus' everyday AI technologies. In the Simple. Special Mission Zone, visitors can try the AI agent "ixi-O" in person. The company said the participatory structure, in which outcomes change depending on inputs and choices, is designed to raise familiarity with AI and boost brand favorability.
Joon-young Jang (장준영), head of LG Uplus' marketing group and a managing director, said, "Rather than putting technology first, LG Uplus will empathise with customers' daily lives through the experience of connection itself and continue to deliver brand value."
